San Bruno police are on the hunt for two men wanted in connection with three robberies at knifepoint this week.
On Monday, a man was robbed in the 1000 block of Cherry Avenue about 5:40 p.m., police said. The suspect approached the victim with what he said was a kitchen knife and demanded his property, in this case, a laptop computer. The knife-wielding crook then fled the scene on foot toward a nearby apartment complex.
He was described by police as approximately 25 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-10 with a thin building and was wearing a black trench coat.
On Tuesday morning, another man was robbed in the same area, this time by two suspects, one of which wielded a kitchen knife, police said. The suspects stole the victim's wallet and cellphone and fled toward that same nearby apartment complex.
The suspect with the knife in this case was described as a man in his late 20s, about 5-foot-8 with a thin build and a thick mustached. He was wearing a black wool cap and black backpack. The other suspect matched the description of the crook in the first robbery, police said.
On Tuesday afternoon, a third victim came forward to police and said he was robbed in that area the night before, and although his description of the suspects matched the other two incidents, this time the goons were armed with a hammer.
In this case, the crooks cornered the victim in the restroom of Commodore Park and stole the victim's cash and other belongings before fleeing in an unknown direction.
