San Bruno police announced Monday two arrests in connection with a series of armed robberies around Commodore Park last week.
Three people were robbed near the park last Monday and Tuesday. In two of the robberies, the suspects were armed with a kitchen knife and in another they were reportedly armed with a hammer, police said at the time.
Last Thursday, police arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with the robberies and on Sunday, with the aid of the Daly City Police Department, they arrested Alexander Leonis, an 18-year-old Daly City resident. He was arrested in the area of King Drive and Junipero Serra Drive, police said.
Police said the 16-year-old suspect was armed with a loaded firearm at the time of his arrest.
He was booked into the county juvenile facility on charges of armed robbery and possessing a loaded firearm. Leonis was booked into jail in Redwood City on charges of armed robbery.
