by Rob NagleThe man who inappropriately touched two young girls in a San Bruno Target in 2012 has pleaded no contest Monday to two felony counts of child molestation and one felony count of possession of child pornography on the condition of a five-year prison sentence and will have to register as a sex offender for life, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said Tuesday.
Glenn Albrecht, a 50-year-old UPS delivery man, was at the Target on Aug. 26, 2012, when a six-year-old child wandered away from her family to another aisle and Albrecht groped her. She immediately reported the incident to her parents, and her father struck Albrecht.
Albrecht, who was wearing a t-shirt that said "Rub Me For Luck," also inappropriately touched an 11-year-old girl at the store later that day, prosecutors said. She was initially unknown and unidentified but both instances were caught on surveillance video and Albrecht was arrested.
When police searched Albrecht's home, they found child pornography and a life-sized doll of a female child, Wagstaffe said.
Albrecht remains out of custody on $300,000 bail and the court has granted his request he be allowed to leave the state before his sentencing.
He is scheduled to return to court Aug. 14 for sentencing.
