A man was arrested after stealing beer from a convenience store in the Sunset on Sunday, police said.
The 62-year-old suspect entered the store in the 2200 block of Taraval Street about 6:30 p.m. and "demanded beers," police said. The two men working in the store showed the suspect where the beer section was and he grabbed two beers and attempted to leave without paying.
The employees tried to stop him and he brandished a box cutter and threatened them, police said. The victims told police they feared for their lives.
The man was later taken into custody, police said.
