Police announced Wednesday the May 4 arrest of three men for weapons violations and one man on burglary charges in the Mid-Market area.
Officers arrived to the scene at Hallidie Plaza about 7:30 p.m. on reports of several men armed with guns in the 900 block of Market Street, police Officer Albie Esparza said in a statement.
Police confronted the suspects and demanded they drop to the ground, Esparza said. The suspects instead fled the area on foot in different directions. A coordinated effort resulted in the four suspects being placed under arrest. Three handguns were also recovered.
"Thanks to the quick response and coordination by officers," Esparza said, "we were able to take these suspects into custody before they victimize anyone."
Three of the suspects, Orlando Ware, 23, Paul Antoine, 28, and Marvin Session, 23, all of San Francisco, were booked on weapons violations and resisting arrest charges, Esparza said. Lendale Warren, 21, of San Francisco, was booked on charges of felony burglary and forgery warrants.
