Geoffrey Kenisi was the first male and Diane Johnson the first female to cross the finish line in the 103rd Bay to Breakers foot race this morning, race officials said.
Bay to Breakers representatives sent out on Twitter photos of Kenisi and Johnson raising their arms as they broke through banners at the end of the 7.46-mile race shortly after 9 a.m. today.
There has been one injury reported so far at the race. The San Francisco Fire Department was dispatched to assist a male adult runner who may have suffered a fractured ankle during the Bay to Breakers foot race this morning, a dispatcher said.
The call to the Fire Department came at about 8:45 a.m. at Howard and Fourth streets, the dispatcher reported.
The incident happened around 20 minutes into the annual race that began at about 8:25 a.m. following a 25-minute delay.
