Daly City substitute music teacher arrested on suspicion of lewd acts

by Wire Report A Danville man who worked as a substitute music teacher has been arrested in connection with sexual assaults on three juvenile girls, according to the Daly City Police Department.

Police said Brian Butts, 28, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of 23 counts of a lewd act on a child.

Police said the incidents occurred between April and June of this year.

KGO-TV (Ch. 7) reported that Butts worked as a substitute teacher at MusicArt Studio in Daly City and taught piano and guitar between April and early June while the school’s owner was in Europe. The alleged crimes reportedly involved some of his young students, two 13-year-old girls and one 15-year-old girl, KGO-TV reported.

Butts is scheduled to be back in court June 25.
