San Francisco police identified a suspect arrested Wednesday night in connection with a series of arsons that have occurred in South of Market this month, according to a department spokesman.
The suspect was identified as Anthony Bejarano, 47, of San Francisco. He was arrested in the 200 block of Harrison Street, according to police.
Bejarano is being held at County Jail and is facing six felony counts of arson, including arson of an inhabited structure. Police say he is suspected of setting at least four arson fires in SoMa.
Since about June 17, there have been several fires at construction sites, occupied buildings and garbage receptacles along Market Street and in SoMa, according to police.
Police released photos and videos this week that they said showed a suspect responsible for the fires.
A video of the suspect is embedded below.
