A 57-year-old man who was killed while crossing a street in San Bruno on Sunday has been identified as Bernabe Lactawen, according to the San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police said Lactawen, a San Bruno resident, was crossing against a red light on El Camino Real at Jenevein Avenue at about 3:45 p.m. Sunday when a vehicle struck him.
He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries a short time later, police said.
Police investigators said they do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision and the driver of the vehicle was not arrested or cited.
