The man killed in a shooting in the Bayview on Tuesday night was identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office as 44-year-old San Francisco resident Lasalle Thompson.
Thompson was found dead by police about 11:25 p.m. near La Salle Avenue and Las Villas Court.
It was the second homicide on La Salle Avenue since Sunday and the fifth homicide in the area since the July Fourth weekend.
Police said they did not believe Thompson’s death was related to the previous four homicides or that it was gang-related.
There have been no arrests in connection with the killing.
