by Rob Nagle A man was arrested Monday in connection with a shooting in Golden Gate Park in June, Officer Albie Esparza said in a statement Friday.

Randy Baldwin, 31, of San Francisco, was taken into custody Monday in the unit block of Hollywood Court in Crocker-Amazon, Esparza said.

Baldwin was booked into County Jail on charges of possession of a stolen and concealed firearm, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of stolen property, carrying a dirk or dagger, and assault with a firearm. He also had several outstanding traffic warrants, Esparza said.

Baldwin was arrested in connection with a shooting in Golden Gate Park on June 18. About 6:35 p.m. that day, a person was shot in the leg inside the park.

Park Station police initiated an investigation that led them to identify Baldwin as the suspect, and a search warrant was prepared, which led to his arrest Monday.

The investigation is still ongoing, Esparza said, and anyone with information on the case is encouraged to call (415) 575-4444 or text 411TIP with "SFPD" at the beginning of the message.
