A man was hit in the face with a baseball bat and robbed in the Mid-Market area on Wednesday, police said. The 58-year-old victim was in the area of 7th and Market streets about 8 p.m. when three men approached him and one of the men hit him in the face with the bat, police said.
The two other suspects then stole the man’s cash and cellphone before all three fled the scene.
The victim sustained a head injury and a broken jaw, police said. He was treated at the hospital for his injuries, which were not life threatening.
No arrests have been made.
