Ladonna Christian, 46, of San Francisco was arrested Thursday in the Mission district in connection with the robbery that occurred in front of a Western Addition convenience store.
About 1:45 p.m. July 14, the 8-year-old victim was in front of the store at Divisadero and Eddy streets holding a clear bag of money she and her friends had made selling candy for a fundraiser.
While her friends were in the store, Christian is alleged to have asked the 8-year-old girl for change, police said. As the girl went to make change, Christian allegedly grabbed the girl’s arm and twisted it, making her drop the bag.
Christian then reportedly grabbed the cash and fled on a nearby Muni bus.
Christian is expected to return to court for arraignment at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Bastian said.
