A man was hospitalized after being struck by a car in San
Francisco's Portola District on Sunday night, police said today.
The 48-year-old man was hit at 11:22 p.m. Sunday at Silver and San Bruno avenues.
The man was walking east on Silver Avenue when he was struck by a sedan turning east onto Silver from San Bruno Avenue, according to police.
He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with a complaint of pain and is expected to survive, police said.
The driver of the sedan was not arrested following the collision, police said.
