by Rob NagleMarilyn Hartman, the serial stowaway who successfully boarded a plane out of San Jose to Los Angeles without a ticket before being arrested and released Wednesday was arrested again on Thursday morning, according to a report by NBC Los Angeles.
Hartman, 62, formerly of San Francisco, has been arrested and detained for trespassing multiple times at San Francisco International Airport, and this week, she took her act to Mineta San Jose International Airport and after three attempts to get by security, she piggy-backed with a family and boarded a Southwest Airlines flight bound for LA.
Once there, the flight crew realized they had an extra passenger on board and she was arrested. On Wednesday, she pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor trespassing charge in a Los Angeles court and then addressed the media afterward and said she would not attempt to board a plane without a ticket again.
It is unknown if her arrest Thursday was for trying to board a plane, but NBC reported that she was arrested near Terminal 7.
She was ordered on Wednesday to stay away from the airport unless she had the necessary documents for a flight.
Hartman told the local media on Wednesday that she was homeless and desperate.
She’s told prosecutors in San Mateo County that she felt safer at the airport than her single room occupancy hotel room she had in San Francisco.
