A man robbed a North Beach store of the boardwalk candy Saturday and assaulted the 28-year-old woman who worked there, police said Monday.
The suspect walked into the store in the 400 block of Columbus Avenue about 6 p.m. and told the woman working there that he was going to take some candy, police said.
She tried to stop the crook, but he grabbed her neck and threw her against the wall before fleeing the store with the treats.
The victim told police she had pain to her throat and some scraped knuckles, and she was treated for her injuries at the scene.
No arrest has been made.
