A 19-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting during the course of a robbery early Tuesday morning, police said.
The victim was with a few other men near Fulton and Hyde streets about 2:51 a.m. when the suspect approached with a gun and demanded their money, police said.
He then told the group to turn around and face the wall, police said.
After he took their money, he shot the 19-year-old once in the stomach and fled, police said.
The victim was taken to the hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was only described as a man who appeared to be in his early 20s. No arrests were made.
