A man was injured with a steering wheel club during a fight in the Mission district Saturday, police said.
The 24-year-old victim was involved in an argument with another man over the victim’s car being vandalized in the 500 block of Valencia Street about 2:45 a.m., police said. The victim then pulled the steering wheel club out of his car and started swinging it at the other man.
However, the victim lost control of the club and the other man grabbed it and proceeded to hit the victim over the head with it, police said. He then fled.
The victim was hospitalized for minor injuries.
The suspect was only described as a man who looked to be in his late 20s.
