A woman was arrested Sunday for reportedly setting fire to her furniture in her own Potrero Hill residence, Sgt. Monica Macdonald said.
Police and firefighters responded to the scene in the unit block of Dakota Street about 12:53 a.m., Macdonald said. Firefighters extinguished the fire, which damaged the kitchen and living room areas of the residence.
Police interviewed a witness at the scene who identified the 28-year-old woman as the person responsible for starting the fire.
She was identified by police as Tanisha King of San Francisco, Macdonald said.
King was booked on charges of arson, possession of a flammable substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance and a warrant violation, Macdonald said.
