San Francisco police last month addressed the high volume of stolen vehicles reported in the Bayview district by conducting a district-wide vehicle abatement operation.
The operation was carried out on Oct. 17 in an attempt to curb stolen vehicle incidents, according to San Francisco police.
The abatement recovered a total of 22 stolen cars and resulted in three arrests of suspects believed to be responsible for vehicle thefts, police said.
All the arrested suspects are believed to be involved in a number of stolen vehicle incidents.
San Francisco police say they will continue these operations in order to recover more stolen vehicles and locate the individuals responsible for their thefts.
