Daniel King, 39, was arrested Dec. 16 later in the evening after a bank in the 1800 block of Irving Street had been robbed, Esparza said.
When police responded to the scene of the robbery about 4:45 p.m., investigators found that the description of the suspect matched the description of the “Chuck Taylor Bandit” who had reportedly robbed several other banks recently, Esparza said.
During the robbery, the suspect fled in a vehicle and later that evening, police noticed the vehicle along the Geary Street corridor, Esparza said. The alleged “Chuck Taylor Bandit” was reportedly nearby and arrested without incident.
King was booked into County Jail on several charges of bank robbery and attempted robbery, Esparza said.
