A man was brutally beaten by two thugs in the South of Market area early this morning while two female accomplices stole the victim’s wallet, police said.
The 24-year-old victim was attacked from behind in the 1000 block of Mission Street about 3:30 a.m. by two men in their 20s who repeatedly hit the victim in the face, police said.
While the victim was being assaulted, two women went through his pockets and stole his wallet before all four of the crooks fled the scene on foot. No arrests have been made.
The victim complained of pain to his face but refused treatment at the scene.
