by Rob Nagle Two men were injured in stabbings in the Mission on Monday and early Tuesday that occurred a block from each other, police said.

In the first incident, near 17th and Bryant streets about 5:25 p.m., the 31-year-old victim was approached by two men and stabbed by one of them. The two men fled to a waiting gold-colored car driven by a third man.

The victim's injuries were not life-threatening. There was very little suspect information as of Tuesday afternoon and no arrests were made.

A second man was stabbed about 1 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

In that stabbing, a 23-year-old man was approached near 16th and Bryant streets by eight men who appeared to be in their 20s, police said.

One of the men stabbed the victim in the back and the group fled.

The victim's injuries also were not life-threatening.

The motives in the stabbings are unknown.
