Two people robbed of cameras in separate SF incidents

by Rob Nagle Two people were robbed of their cameras in separate incidents in San Francisco on Tuesday, police said.

The first robbery happened on top of Twin Peaks about 5:05 p.m. A 21-year-old woman was walking around the viewpoint area when a black SUV pulled up behind her, police said.

Two of the three men in the SUV got out and demanded her property.

One of the men pulled the camera off her shoulder and the crooks fled in the SUV. The woman was not injured.

In the second incident, a man was robbed of his camera and tripod as he was taking pictures near The Embarcadero and Folsom Street, police said.

The victim was robbed by a man who appeared to be in his 20s about 8:24 p.m. The suspect grabbed the camera and tripod and fled in what police said was a compact SUV with two other men inside it.

There was little description of the suspects in the robberies except that they all appeared to be in their 20s and were driving SUVs.

No arrests have been made.
