San Mateo police are seeking the public’s help in finding a hit-and-run driver who reportedly struck a pedestrian early Monday morning.
About 7:30 a.m., an 18-year-old San Mateo resident was struck by a vehicle in the 1200 block of South Norfolk Street, police said. The victim sustained injuries to his head and torso, but they were not life-threatening.
The vehicle that left the scene was described as a late-model 1980s or 1990s maroon Ford Mustang with chrome wheels, police said. The vehicle will probably have some damage to the front driver’s side fender and hood.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information on the suspect vehicle is encouraged to call police at (650) 522-7676 or text (650) 262-3473.
